About the Founder
Vidyamani Dambhala (Vidya) is from Bangalore, India, with roots in Chikkaballapur, where she spent much of her childhood. Her journey into yoga began at the age of 15 with her grandfather—her very first teacher and a constant source of inspiration. Watching his calm and centered nature, even during challenging times, gave her the first glimpse into the true power of yoga—the ability to stay balanced amidst life's storms.
Life took her along a different path. After completing an engineering degree and working in IT for seven years, she became a mother of two. When her health began to decline, she felt an undeniable pull back toward her roots—toward Yoga and Ayurveda. That calling led her to Yoga Bharathi, Bangalore, where she began her formal yoga journey under Ashwini Rao, who deeply influenced her and rekindled her passion for yogic living.
In 2021, Vidya undertook Inner Engineering and received initiation into Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya from Sadhguru, Isha Foundation. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ashtanga Yoga, Mysore, and pursued a Master's in Yoga (M.Sc.) from SVYASA, Bangalore. This transformed her understanding of yoga—beyond asanas, into yoga as therapy, devotion (Bhakti Yoga), wisdom (Jnana Yoga), and ultimately, a path toward self-realization.
She also completed certifications in Sound Bath Meditation from Aarthi Yoga Academy and Face Yoga from Hityoga. Today, Vidya has grown from seeing yoga as a physical practice to embracing it as a way of life—a journey inward. What began as a quest for better health has now become the essence of her being. For her, there is no other way to live, but in yoga.
